I am currently experimenting with digital photography, digital manipulation, and textiles to explore the subject of Hmong American females. My most recent concept is "duality" that is specifically concentrating on cultural bridging between multi-cultures. My main interest as of right now is the theme: Identity, and how much it shapes a person's life within the community. I am drawn into the 21st century of art that includes contemporary modernism and feminism. I focused on collaging or putting non-related things together to make one whole piece. One main technique that I significantly use in my work is layering which that creates the purpose of tensions and depths. Likewise, I am also interested in doing smaller projects that includes studio photography, fine art installations, and enjoying the nature that I am surrounded by.
